Re: One-Time Payment in Lieu of COLA & Senate Bill: S.2251
Dear President; Obama:
I writing this letter in regards to (unfair and injustice) done to the "Veterans and Social Security Beneficiary." Over the past 6 years prices go up but Veterans and Social Security Beneficiary have only seen {1 increase in 6 years?} We should do better than that, for the people who served our country and for the elderly retired Beneficiary
After all my bills are paid, Sir? I have $600.00 a month to last me for 31 days. By the time I pay, ((Physical Therapy, Chiropractic, Family Doctors, Medicine)) it comes to $400.00 that leaves me with $200.00 to last a month!
In the meantime, my wife and I, have's a home, the IRS asks us each year to come-up with $4000.00 annually? Any money that my wife and I save in the Bank? Gets, the pleasure to be spent on Taxes because we own?
What happens if, 1 of our cars, breaks-down or any "emergency-expense" is needed where, would we get the money from, sir?
Trust me sir, the Social Security & Veterans Administration doesn't figure in "buffers or cushions" for these kinds of expenses? They only tally, your bills and income you bring in?
A matter a fact both Agencies, have denied a "cost of living" with the exception of last year... 5years, out of the 6 years that have come and gone, were denied a "Cost of Living Increase?" Why so harsh, sir?
While prices"sky~rocket"in all categories, sir, the 5 years that we didn't get an increase is around $750.00 a month! Please consider making it right for Veterans and people on Social-Security so they can keep up with the times.. sir!
Sincerely,
Eddie Verdon
